Latino/a students make up an increasingly large portion of all students in higher education, especially in California. Latino/a students account for 16% of all undergraduates and 22% of all community college students. In California, Latino/as make up 43% of community college students. But these students face a number of barriers that can put them at greater risk for mental health challenges, or make them less likely to access mental health services. This short video provides an overview of recent trends and strategies for supporting Latino/a students in higher education.
